The weather outside IS frightening, or would be, if I didn’t live in Ohio. Instead, the snow storm we’re all preparing for is kind of exciting! Happy first snow day to us today!
Our tree is up, and all decorated. Caleb belted holiday songs for me the entire time that I only wish I would’ve thought to record, but you’ll have to settle for a photo–
Baking has made our whole place smell incredible, add in photo shoots for friends for their holiday cards, and non-stop prep for vendor events & it’s beginning to look a LOT like Christmas! I cannot wait to start wrapping presents, drink hot chocolate, see lights, visit Santa…. the list goes on & I cannot describe how truly excited I am!
What’s really put me in the mood I think is getting ready for two weekends of shows that I’ll be at. Tomorrow I will be sharing my holiday crafts, designs and products at Fairbrook Elementary’s Holy Days which is the place the kids can grab gifts for family & friends, but better. If you’re local, here’s the event page for details– https://www.facebook.com/events/603834899636814/
Then, on Sunday, I’ll be at the Miamisburg Moose, for their second annual holiday open house– https://www.facebook.com/events/721345684559634/ Lots of great opportunities to get some shopping, and I hear Santa will even be stopping by
Not local? Contact me for custom card designs, or you can head over to my Stampin Up website http://shay_tibbs.stampinup.net to grab those holiday catalog items while they’re still available!

Today is not only Throwback Thursday #tbt but I am participating in a fun challenge/blog hop with a few girls from the Amy Tangerine group, using any of her products! I chose to mix them together, so here’s a throwback photo with a little bit of Ready, Set, Go & her first line– I had a blast getting the bits and pieces together for this layout.
I thought the layout would be easiest if I grabbed some supplies first, and this is what it turned into:
& checkout these youngins! Not even high school graduates! We all look like babies!
Now go check out the other lovely ladies, Ruth http://scrapmachine.com & Katie http://www.katiesnestingspot.com/ Thanks for stopping by, I hope we inspire to get your own Amy Tangerine stash out to play!
I have missed blogging.
Life for me is just easier when I have an outlet to write & share, it makes me feel complete and I have really let it go. Now that we’re hitting the most fun time of year, and getting into the feel of the holidays, I’m ready to get back into the swing of it all. I LOVE sharing my creations here, and look forward to making the effort of blogging, often.
Cheers to a return to the creative world here in cyberspace, and back into my crafty place! I am super busy with holiday events, card marking and classes, so I’ll be sharing them all here on my blog as well! Hope you all can be inspired from my craftypolooza I’ve been a party of. This past Saturday I had a blast at my newest monthly event, Cards & Coffee. A holiday pop up shop of my cards, gifts and upcoming classes, this event is sure to become one of my favorites. AND it was during Starbucks BOGO?! Um, hello, favorite event I’ve ever planned haha Here’s a peek into the cards I’ve designed this holiday season so far:
Would you like to order your own holiday cards from me? Pick one of the designs shown here, or pick out your own design from hundreds of stamp sets and products. To discuss these options, please feel free to e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Today I want to share a layout I made for the current Chic Tags Sketch Challenge! To check out what the DT did & join in, check out this post.
For this page, I decided to use the sketch as a starting point, but flip it– I do this with most sketch challenges, just to change it up a little. I wanted to use these Birthday Cake goodies, which matched the colors in the Kraft Edition of Project Life almost perfectly. Instead of doing multiple photos, I used the design of the sketch to incorporate the 3×4 cards from my Core Kit onto my page.
Here’s the finished project:
I absolutely love it, I feel like it’s a perfect birthday selfie page Here’s to another FAB year of getting older!
Thanks for stopping by today, have a great weekend!
I had high hopes this year for Week in the Life, a week documentation prompt by Ali Edwards. I picked a cute mini album, and was ready to go out of my way to take more pictures of our everyday moments. My plan didn’t last long, as it was a crazy week and I didn’t feel like I had enough time to devote to an entire mini album.
Instead, I thought why not make all those little moments into a fun insert in that week of Project Life? I’m a HUGE fan of making PL & those page protectors work for me, so I got out some coin protectors to cut & stitch into a cute little project!
With Life. Paper. Scrapbook Project Life challenge to use square/Instagram pics this month, this week is PERFECT! I was glad to be pushed to catch up on my project life weeks and finish up the spread that goes along with this, which will be up here on the blog on Sunday! I love how this project looks mixed in with the normal week, an insert from the concert & my 30Lists, September is always such a fun month for me!
Thanks LPS for such a great challenge, I can’t wait to see the other projects that are linked up! To join in, head on over to the challenge post, here. I am totally in love with the monthly challenges over there, such a great way to be inspired!
If you haven’t heard of Week in the Life, check out more information on Ali Edwards blog & see her project from this year here.
